Annsville Creek
SHELTER ISLAND PADDLER CLUB
Annsville Creek is located next to Annsville Circle in the northwest corner of
Peekskill, NY by the entrances to the Hudson River and the Bear Mountain Parkway.
You can either kayak out into the Hudson River across from Indian Point nuclear
power plant and pick a destination from there, or paddle east into Sprout Brook or
Hollow Brook. Going at high tide is your best bet. There is a great put-in spot at
Atlantic Kayak Tours. The plastic floating launch is equipped with knotted ropes for
easy pull-out when you're finished.
