The Crab Creek put-in is the
perfect spot for entry into calm
water on the west side of the
island.

At the entrance to Crab Creek, be careful of the severe current on the ebb or flow
because you'll find yourself paddling with all your strength while staying in the
same spot and making little progress. A quick entrance means a difficult exit and
vice versa.

At low tide, follow the small channel into the creek so you don't bottom out and are
forced to pull yourself into deeper water.

Plenty of ospreys and other wildlife can be seen here.
