Shelter Island Paddler Club

Mashomack Point is located at the southernmost tip of Mashomack Preserve. With
panoramic views of Cedar Point light, Sag Harbor, North Haven and South Ferry
channel, Mashomack Point is anything but boring.

Routinely choppy currents whip around the tip with direction depending on ebb or
flow. Osprey posts are found along the edges so be kind. The point is a popular
fishing spot for boats and more adventurous people have been spotted digging for
clams in the area.

A special treat is the aroma of native plants and sea grass as you paddle by.
