Town Landings
SHELTER ISLAND PADDLER CLUB
The following is a description of the town landings that the forefathers of the island
created for future use.

Bootlegger's Alley - wood, good condition, recently improved
Burns Lane (near St. Gabriel's) - wood, updated in late 1990s
Congdon's Creek - cement, dock by town permit, takeout by grass on beach
Conrad Road - pavement, needs updating
Crab Creek Road - blacktop, poor condition, needs updating
Crescent Beach (north end) - sand
Daniel Lord Road - cement, good condition
Dawn Lane - sand, no driving
First Causeway - harbor side: pavement, mediocre condition
Highberry Lane - sand, no driving
Kissing Rock - sand/small rocks, no driving
Menantic Road South - dilapidated blacktop/sand, needs improvement
Menhaden Lane - sand
Montclair Colony (east side) - reeds, covered, no good access
Montclair Colony (west side) - sand, black top, needs improvements
Nostrand Parkway - grass/sand, outdated. Subject of political debate of property
owner's/town rights.
Peconic Lane - sand, overgrown with grass, needs improvement
Piccozzi's Marina - wood
Reel Point - sand, large rocks on the bay side at low tide and covered at high tide
Second Causeway - sand, rocks
Shell Beach - sand, can be closed in winter
Shore Road (Crescent Beach) South - wood, poor condition, needs updating
Silver Beach Lagoon (Brander Parkway inlet) - cement, recently re-constructed with
bulkheading, calm water
Simpson Road - cement, good condition
Smith Cove - cement, marina
Wade's Beach - sand
Tarkettle Road - cement, good condition
West Neck Road - cement, recently updated, good condition, parking for 2 vehicles
